The Schengen Visa

The Schengen Visa allows the holder of the visa to travel throughout the Schengen area for a short duration. The Schengen area covers 26 countries that have agreed to abolish all internal border to have a standard visa policy. The holder can visit any of the designated 26 countries for 90 days within 6 months.

Which countries fall under the Schengen region?

A total of 26 countries agreed to abolish all internal borders to set a standard visa policy to allow easy travel to the holders of the Schengen visa. While there may be slight differences concerning procedural formalities, a Schengen visa gives the holder the autonomy to travel within most of the European Union without having to apply for a new visa for each country.

The Schengen Visa includes any European country that is not part of the Schengen Region, and that does not have a Visa Facilitation policy with the EU must compulsorily obtain a visa to enter within its borders.

Schengen Tourist Visa

If the sole purpose of the applicant is to visit and experience one or more of the European Countries, we can assist you with a Schengen Tourist Visa. A tourist Visa to Europe for tourism can be issued by a short-term C category Schengen visa specifically designed for this. It can be issued by one of the Schengen States. The tourist visa allows the holder to travel to 22 European countries and 4 Members of the EFTA. It is issued for 90 days within 6 months. If you wish to cross the external border of the Schengen territory, we can further assist you by issuing a single entry, double-entry or multiple-entry tourist visas. The Schengen states have standard rules for issuing short-stay Schengen visas, which are valid within the entire Schengen area. If you are a family member of an EU or EEA citizen, and that citizen is travelling or resides in a member state other than a state in which he/she is a citizen, we can issue a visa an accelerated visa at a nominal charge.

Uniform Schengen Visas (USV)

This Visa will allow you to travel to the Schengen Area for up to 90 days every 6 months.

Single-entry visa

A single-entry visa allows the holder to stay with the Schengen area once and stay until the visa expires. The holder will not be allowed to enter the country again once he leaves the country as the visa considers to have expired on exit. However, the holder cannot stay for more than 90 days within 6 months.

Double-entry visa

With double-entry visa, the applicant may enter the country premises twice before the visa expires. Once the applicant fulfils the two-visit allowance, he may be unable to enter the country for a third time as the visa is considered to have expired on the second exit. However, the holder cannot stay for more than 90 days within 6 months.

Multiple-entry visa

A multiple Entry Visa will allow the holder to enter the Schengen region as many times as they please. However, the holder cannot stay for more than 90 days within 6 months.

Note: In case an applicant needs to extend his stay, we may be able to get an extension in case of reasons involving personal severe or humanitarian reasons. Get in touch with our consultants before your 90 days are up.

An applicant must produce valid documents for us to help you with your visa process. Visa documents differ from country to country. Some of the necessary documents required include:

In case your application for a tourist visa gets rejected, we can appeal on your behalf. Note: A residence cardholder of EU or a family member that holds the residence card of the EU or has a national residence permit is exempt from applying for a tourist visa.

Schengen Business Visa Application

The Schengen Business Visa type is for people travelling to the Schengen territory for the sole purpose of business. The procedure is similar to that of the visit visa with some additional documents. Any person that is a citizen of a country that does not share a visa facilitation agreement with the EU, who intends to business in the Schengen territory may obtain a business visa. This involves taking part in business fairs, attending conferences, performing trade transactions etc. In case the applicant plans to visit two or more countries during the trip, our consultants will set you up with a flexible solution on your visa.

Documents required for a business visa include:

A visa application form downloaded in two copies and signed.

A recent photograph (no more than 6 months old) with correct specifications followed.

A valid passport with at least two empty pages and valid for another 3 months beyond the intended stay.

Schengen travel insurance covering repatriation, hospitalization, medical and in case of death. Minimum cover of 30 pounds and valid for the duration of your stay.

Travel Itinerary including a flight reservation, hotel booking and any other details regarding your trip.

No objection Certificate from your employer, school/university that states you have met all your contractual obligations in your home country and gives assurance concerning your arrival.

Letter of Invitation issued by host company written on the company letterhead and signed by the authorized dignitary. It must state the name of the participant, dates and the purpose of your visit along with additional details regarding travelling expenses.

Letter from your employer, confirming your employment and your salary/position. The letter must include some general information about the operations and the relationship with the visa applicant.

This visa can be issued as a multiple-entry visa or a single-entry visa. The duration is usually decided by the embassy or the consulate based on the type of visa (multiple entry or single-entry). An applicant cannot stay in the country after the duration on the visa expires.
