Employers that are in the United Kingdom that hires an employee to work in the UK directly are eligible for this type of visa. The employer and employee must meet strict guidelines to get this visa approved. There is a selection-based test that an applicant must clear to qualify. This test is a combination of language skills, salary, maintenance funds and employer sponsorship. The applicant is required to achieve a minimum score of 50 points to qualify. Also, an employer has to sponsor this visa compulsorily. Even though it is valid for 3 years, the applicant may get additional 2 years approved by the authorities.
Tier – II Intra Company Transfer
This visa is specially designed for those employees who get transferred to work to the United Kingdom from the same office. Both employer and employee must meet individual requirements to get this visa approved. There is a point-based selection test, and the candidate must score a minimum of 60 points. Of this, Employer sponsorship points are to be 30 points, and salary requirement is 20 points. This visa is sub-divided into two; short-term Intra Company Transfer (ICT) Visa and long-term Intra Company Transfer Visa. The salary that the employee makes has specific criteria that must be met.
